The Most Annoying Anime Characters

Indeed. I mean, Evangelion as a whole annoyed the hell out of me, (Except 1.11. That was awesome.) but I never had a problem with Shinji. I mean, considering all the stuff he goes through, his reactions are pretty justified. Also, in End of Evangelion,
the Human Instrumentality Project meant that he was actually given a chance to live in a perfect world with no pain or loneliness... And he rejected it. I don't know about you guys, but I'd say that's pretty admirable for a guy who seems to hate absolutely everything about the world he lives in.

Gohan was only the strongest due to a mystical power up, but the best fighter is always Goku. It doesn't take him that long to catch up. As for Chichi's treatment of Goten, it's explained that Goku's death had a big effect on her.

Well, Gohan actually enjoyed studying. Chichi, as far as the comic is concerned, hardly speaks let alone chain Gohan to his desk.

The Old Kai

Given how rigerous Goku trains, and that he continued to after Buu, and the fact that Gohan doesn't usually train during peace time I'd say you can make a great argument for Goku being the strongest, especially when you count GT.

He brought out the strength, hence it's a power up. However, this is semantics. Actually he does say something to the effect that he brings out his power beyond his limits.

Gohan doesn't mind studying but it's clear that he doesn't quite like his mother being such a taskmaster.

Shizuru Kuwabara - she's especially annoying in the dub, but she's superfluous. She constantly hits her brother and berates him, she doesn't further the plot and she falls for someone as evil as Sakyo.

Oh yah now I remeraber that part, didn't she still force Gohan to study as a teen? He said he had a date to go on and she was all school is for studdying not dating LOL. So she hasn't changed that much as far as Gohans concerned

Ribbons from Gundam 00. Why? Because of being the Replacement Scrappy of Gundam 00.
With little effort, he becomes the big bad of the series, and does nothing but sit and smirk. In fact, most of the time, he dosn't do anything but jabber on about how awesome he is.

He's a villian that you hate not because of any of his charteristics. Instead, you hate him for being an annoying Villian Sue. Even the characters in the show seem more annoyed by Ribbons antics than anything else.

I admit, he could have been an awesome character, but the writers screwed up. Instead of a Xanatos, we get a cardboard cutout.

You're just lucky I didn't mention Sumeragi and her outfits from season 1. Man, even Britney Spears would be erabarasssed to wear those

Did I mentioned I was annoyed with characters who were balant fan service?

Meh, that outfit stuff was pretty tame as fanservice goes. I wouldn't call that an annoyance, although season 2's uniform change was nice.

I can't agree with Shizuru in Yu Yu Hakusho...let's face it, for a lot of the series Kuwabara is a bit of a goofball, and it was probably good for him that he had a mature sister around to keep him at least somewhat straight. While not essential, I wouldn't call her annoying.

Jaken from Inu-Yasha, absolutely. He was a joke abused far too often.

Some just don't like weakness in their main characters at all, which I of course disagree with. The truth is that just as people are different characters should be different too, and that means that you have different types of protagonists out there. And if they were all perfect, it would be boring.

Kuwabara could've come to that conclusion on his own. Her slapping him around annoys me. Also, she has feelings for a sociopath like SAKYO
