The most amazing movie scene you've ever....er seen!

The opening of Working Girl - the bit where the camera moves round the Statue of Liberty before stopping on the Staten Island ferry. Superlative cinematography...

This scene should be played before every England game whether it be footie, cricket or rugby  I defy anyone not to be moved by this clip---it's incredible and I loved the fact that a lot of the actual riders in the scene were women with a lot of glued-on facial hair :D

One of the greatest scenes ever to be comitted to film, IMHO.

Helbore, The Two Towers is being shown at the Royal Albert Hall on April 23/24 2010 complete with a live orchestra. As TTT is my favourite of the three LOTR films I already have a front row seat :D The Return Of The King will probably follow in 2011.

The sheer frenzied madness of fully-frontally naked, hysterical nuns thrashing, writhing and masturbating over a giant statue of Jesus on the cross in The Devils. Pity Warners are too fascist to allow the film to be released publically with the scene in, but there you go that kind of makes the point.

Ok...was a kid way back then, but still rates as one of all-time fave sequences even to this day. Simply, Superman The Movie and the helicopter rescue sequence. The build up, Clark looking indignant at that half-phone booth and ultimately the elation as he soars to catch Lois AND the helicopter. The crowd reaction, the music...all perfect.:)

Yeah...I would agree with that as a childhood memory of a sequence that blew me away.

Crude though it may look now, at the time it prefectly captured the essence of the Superman comics set-pieces that you remembered from your childhood...a damsel in distress...a disaster to be averted...Superman saving the day.

Perfect.

The Ending of Blade Runner, When Batty Does the

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die."

Fantastic Scene

I still love the scene in Ghostbusters, where they arrive in front of the apartment block, crowRAB gathered to cheer them on. Brilliant scene imo. :)

"what's your exit strategy twinkle toes?"

"i'm gonna walk right out of the front gate"

"ballsy, stupid but ballsy"

"open the pod bay doors hal"

"my name is inego montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die"

"secret agent?, on who's side?"

and the list goes on........ :)

I don't know the correct "Ride of wotsit" / "Battle of Thingy" title for this bit in LOTR - and to be honest i can't remember which film it is, 2nd or 3rd one though. But when Gandalf rides out alone with his staff lit up to fend off the flying wraiths while the army gets inside the city. Awesome scene, seem to remember the sheer lack of music at one point gave it an amazing atmosphere.

Also, Trinity on the motorbike going against the traffic in Matrix Reloaded, amazing spectacle.

Obi Wan vs Darth Maul vs Qui Gonn Jin, in Phantom Menace, pretty much redeems the entire film.

Goodfellas - the "do I amuse you scene"

Superman - just after Superman and Lois have done the flying around thing, Clark comes into Lois's apartment and as Lois goes into a different room, Clark removes his glasses and changes his body language and looks like a completely different person.

The scene in the two towers when frodo calls gollum by his original name & its that look on gollums face when he says "what did you call me?" i don't know how they managed that in cgi but to me its outstanding.
