Hi St Nicolas,

Delighted to read what you said about The Moon and The Sledgehammer and well done for creating a link to the film's website. We distribute this film and have received countless emails from the film's fans saying how happy they are to have a good copy to view.
We recently put a new page on the website with some updates on the Page family as so many people wanted to know what happened to them. If you knew the family you may like to add something yourself.
There will also be a public screening on Monday 4th May, which is May bank holiday. It will show in the newly restored Theatre Royal in Margate, 4 - 6 pm. This is the second largest theatre in the country, and only the second public screening since the original release nearly 40 years ago now! So it's guaranteed to be quite an occasion. Their website is http://www.margaterocks.com/free-cinema-documentaries-about-free-thinkers

Good news for fans of THE MOON AND THE SLEDGEHAMMER.
Due to public demand, a companion DVD - BEHIND The Moon and the Sledgehammer - is now available, offering an insight into the making of this unique film and also answers many questions the film's fans have been asking about the family.

If you are curious about how the crew went about making the film interviews with the director, cameraman, editor, production company and critics should answer many questions.

BEHIND... also features the full Q & A session from the Curzon cinema's Cinema Nation event, celebrating the film. Director Philip Trevelyan talks about how he first met the family and how he went about filming them. How did the family feel about being filmed? What has happened to them since the film was made?
Did the daughters ever marry? How did the family feel about the finished film?
These are some of the topics raised during the Q & A, which also features directors Andrew Kotting, Ben Rivers, Nick Broomfield and Molly Dineen.
