I'm a great Stephen King fan and have read most of his stuff. When the Mist was first in cinemas reading reviews and what other people had said I decided not to see it as it was supposed to be not very good....
Someone has just leant me the black and white DVD - I thought it was really good: atmospheric, terrifying, thought provoking, with good acting from the cast most of whom are unknown to me. I don't know how closely it followed the novella as it's a while since I've read it - but it was true to King's genre - brilliant to watch on a dark November night in with good food and wine
