The Million Pound Drop Live - series 2 discussion thread (starts tonight, 10pm, C4)

It's a shame those guys lost, but they are right not to spread the money too much early on as the million quid is effectively just 40 chips you have to hang onto as many as possible of over the 8 questions.

I only saw the last 3 questions they had but I couldn't stand her, that Justice woman, mouthy cow,.....hardly brain of Britain herself was she and her eyelashes were ridiculous as seems to be the fashion.

quite so - she rushes them to select a category, and then they take forever to drop

mind you, this and Millionaire, we record and flick through. takes about 10 mins to watch the whol show.

I also agree thats its silly not to let them cover every door. every other big money quiz, you can bail out - eg Millionaires/Deal - but on this you cant.

its hard enough to get much money to the end anyway.

So is Paddy Power taking bets on whether or not Justice and Sam actually make it to the wedding?

I would have gone for Dan Brown, as I go into charity shops to buy books and it seems to be compulsary for every one to have at least one copy of The Da Vinci Code. Propably from people who are enjoying the story, but want to throw the book at the wall because of how badly written it is, or is that just me?

Anyone else want the next two to just lose everything on the first question?

We shall see - but I would expect that very few people would stop watching the show because of the "celebrity" element last night.

Channel 4 obviously wanted some money to be won and having a couple of known people playing for charity and asking them questions which they had a better chance of getting right seems a pretty sensible way to do that.

I have yet to see anyone on this thread point out anything wrong with Channel 4 trying to help someone win some of their money so that they can give it to charity.

While some of the questions for "ordinary" competitors are quite hard, many are not, and I would certainly love to have a go on the show to see if I could get to the end with a bit left at round 8 with an even chance of keeping it. I would not expect to have topics specially chosen to be my sort of thing because I am not a "celebrity" and would not be playing for charity. I suspect that most viewers, unlike some who contribute to this thread, can see the difference.
