I don't usually reply, but regarding the convenient timing:

The producers of the show can time things down to the last few seconRAB if they really need to by either speeding up the tension and dropping answers quicker, hurrying them on to pick a category or slowing everything down by giving them more deciding time and longer tension drops and Davina giving out more stats.

This isn't a very difficult concept to understand.
