The Million Pound Drop Live - series 2 discussion thread (starts tonight, 10pm, C4)

It's clearly a losing kind of show, rather than the more usual concept in gameshows of winning stuff.

A revolution! And they say CH4 doesn't innovate any more...

The whole concept is flawed and the constant sense of hopelessness from watching this programme is again a world first in game shows.


CH4 Announcer: "Now on Four Davina McCall presents the experiment in mass depression, The Million Pound Drop."

and after the show....

"Viewers affected by this programme can call these helplines now"
 
It makes sense really, first she randomly mentioned Rochelle is playing the game at home earlier in the week, and tonight she actually has Marvin from JLS on the phone... just putting 2+2 together... :rolleyes:

They do this with all game shows these days, I haven't been able to enjoy family fortunes in years as a result!
 
You're right...I was trying to imagine the line of darkness on a tilted globe....completely forgot about local times.

Hold on, though, they didn't worry about local time in that question about planes the other night.
 
I wish they would tell Davina to hurry up and get on with it when revealing the answers, just like she's doing to them when picking categories
