The Mentalist (Merged)

I didn't get that impression lol

Anyway wouldn't Patrick have recognised something in the manic laugh at the end?

Just a thought - where did Mum keep the blood all that time:confused:

I'm still not very impressed by this - mainly because the guy in the lead role annoys me so much, but I don't think either story so far has been very good either. There's nothing else on in the timeslot that interests me so I'll probably tune in again next week, but I'm getting bored already so as soon as something better comes along I'm off.

How many times are people going to have to explain this: Sky didn't steal House (or Prison Break for that matter), Five passed on buying the latest season so Sky decided to buy it instead, how exactly is that "stealing"? If you've got a problem then it should be with Five for not buying it! If it weren't for Sky it might not even be still shown in the UK, or worse end up with Hallmark getting the first run rights back and showing it in 4:3 and 6 months after the US.

Its doubtful that they'd go for The Mentalist though as it is a bit similar to the superior Lie To Me (imo).

Here's a couple of news snippets, some people may not have seen:

Five has acquired exclusive terrestrial and digital rights to the third season of the critically-acclaimed hit drama The Mentalist, starring Emmy

In the most recently aired series one of the FBI guys took the mickey out of Charlie's constant use of "imagine ...". Once I saw that it became really obvious that he says that every time he wants to explain something in non-maths terms eg "imagine a garden sprinkler ..."

My pet peeve in both the mentalist and lie to me is that both main actors stick their head on one side as if to say "now I'm doing my special power"

No - but that episode will be shown again on Hallmark in a few weeks time, they are on a double bill Sunday nights from 6.00pm, not that I am obsessed or anything :o

That was the last flashback - I don't think he did anything in particular. He probably just continued doing the carnival circuit with his father until he was old enough to go it alone.

I'm watching at US pace and I really like it. Patrick Jane is a fantastic character, and really cute to boot!

I used to watch E Street on Sky 1 years ago and I mostly remember Simon Baker from that, Home And Away too. Does anybody else see the similarity between Simon Baker and Nicholas Bishop (Det. Peter Baker - Home And Away) I think it's quite spooky!

Simon Baker - http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/1681/simonbaker.jpg

I read recently that Nic has also won the lead role in a new cop show on US tv for this 'fall'. Something about an ex cop who works with a re-incarnation expert or something.

Edit - here it is 'Past Life' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1396401/

The female narrator on The Mentalist Revealed is just embrassingly bad!!

and did we really need to find out what real life 'mentalists' do ??!!
