These past two days, I've been having such bad cramps! I've been taking muscle relaxers but it doesn't seem to help.

I recently switched my birth control so I only get my period 3 times a year. And since I just started this new pill a few week ago, the doctor said I would have some spotting, which I have. So it's not a full period, but these cramps are horrible! I've had bad cramps, but these are really bad. I feel really nauseous and I had to come home from school earlier today.

Do you think it's because of the new pill?

Also, does anyone have any good home remedies/suggestions on what I should do to help my cramps since the medicine I'm taking doesn't seem to be helping. I'd really appreciate it!

A test for thyroid problems is specific for thyroid only. It should be a fasting test (no foods for about 10 to 12 hours prior to the test). The problem with thyroid tests is that they may have to be done more than once if there is only a mild problem or if there are fluctuating thyroid levels (such as with Hashimoto's Disease).

If you are having blood tests, you need to talk with your doctor to find out what issues you are being tested for and whether he can/will do extra tests for matters that concern you.

 I'm not a fan of medication either. But you're smart to consider talking to your doctor if you feel that the anxiety attacks are getting out of hand.

The problem with anxiety attacks is that they seem to feed on one another so that they do appear to arrive in bunches when you're worried about having another one. Something needs to break the cycle.

I have them often too, and it's also important to pee after having sex! My doctor reminded me of that not too long ago. It does make a difference.

How do you know if you're allergic to something? When I was in holiday my boyfriend bought a cake with some sort of nuts in and i had a teeny bit and I was wheezing and coughing for a good few hours. Then, the next morning, I woke up and I was fine, no wheezing or coughing. I've had similar reactions to praline but never as bad. It scared me :(

^ I'm not too sure, although I'd be interested to find out.
Have you tried googling it? I might try later and see what I can find out :)

I got a rash on my right wrist. It's very itchy. Every time I itch it, the rash spreads out more. I'm getting worried about it now. I put on some itchy cream to relived the itching now.

Well, the stomach pain is gone thanks to a combination of Rolaids and a bottle of Pepsi. Problem is, once it was gone, it led to my period. :irked:

Thanks for the help. Ive had these attacks before but they were mild and rarely had them, but lately ive been getting them alot. I do have some stress going on but not enough to have them this bad. Ive just always been nervous to take drugs.

Dizzy spells can mean high BP among other things.

I have been having this really bad muscle pain in my right arm ( joints really ) starting at the shoulder. It reduces with Bengay... but comes back. Any home remedies ? I do plan to see a Dr of sports medicine...but don't want to take more meds as I am already taking them for various other health conditions !!

Thanks guys. The list might be a good idea, so I'll try it and see how we go.

I have a question about blood tests.. if anyone knows. When you have a blood test to check for something specific like your thyroids.. do they just check that, or are they able to pick up if anything else is wrong?

:( I've got sinusitis and it really hurts :( I'm on really strong painkillers and they seem to stop working about an hour before I'm allowed more. I'm doing everything the doctors are telling me but its still sore and I guess I'm just whining because I can :( Wish my boyfriend would cuddle me like he has been doing the past few days :( But he's working :(
