The Media, and body image?

This may have been the wrong category to ask this question in but, I'm an actress looking for an agency (In Toronto), and I've heard that if you're going to find an agency, you may as well find a modeling one, to represent you.

Eg. Sutherland Models representing actors etc.

I guess my question is, I'm nervous about even trying because, although I know I'm a good actress, with a great personality.
I'm not "model material" .
and, to walk into an agency that works with models, I'm scared.

I'm happy with myself. I'm happy with the way I look.
I admit, I'm a bit thick.
I'm 5'8''. and look like I'm around 165 lbs.
I'm just... curvier..

My measurements are:
40''
34''
40''



Do you think my fear of being rejected because I'm thicker will tarnish my chances?
How do I overcome this?
 
Sorry, but yeah. Media is extremely strict and unforgiving when it comes to image. They will most likely ask you to lose weight...a lot of it.And don't worry, you can still be curvy when thin. Curves mean a good hip-to-waist ratio. If you naturally got that, then,no matter how much thinner you'll get, you'll still look curvy. And that's important. Remember, curves do not mean flab/fat/rolls, they mean a nice body shape. And again, a nice body shape means a good difference between hip and waist size, on a FIRM, toned body.
