The Matrix Revolutions - DVD/VHS released 2nd April

The DVD and Video releases of The Matrix Reloaded come out on 2nd April.

Strangely this is before the USA release date of 6th April!

Anyway, here are the features on the 2-Disc DVD:

I'm buying as soon as it comes out... but only to complete my dvd collection of the trilogy. I wasnt astounded by it...

I'll be buying it. It's not a bad film at all and it looks and sounRAB wonderful. It's a real showpiece for a decent home cinema set-up.

I can't see my opinion about reloaded and revolutions changing much. They had a lot to live up to and didn't quite get there. If it had been one well edited three hour film, it may just have.

Does anyone know when the inevitable 6-disc mega super box set is likely to be released?

I've been holding off buying Reloaded and Revolutions until the set comes out, but I haven't seen any press about it or been able to find it on play or amazon!

Can anyone shed any light?

have my copy in the mail already from play.com. however 2nd one was not brill so never went to see the 3rd one at the cinema. dvd will be my first watching of it.

I've not read anything about this since before Christmas. I believe there was a plan to insert the footage and sequences from Enter The Matrix into and after Reloaded and to tie everything up into one six and a half hour "film". Having said that, with the exception of the LOTR dvd's, no publisher has ever advertised the fact the a forthcoming release will be surpassed by the end of the year! :)

Got mine today. It's actually better than I remember and you get to pick out some little things you missed at the cinema. And it gives your Dolby system a "proper" workout!

The Matrix timeline extra is very clever too!

They also did this with reloaded and Pirates of the Caribbean. Finally starting to get movies before the US :D

I bought the original Matrix on VHS when it was first released. Then as the DVD revolution took over and the other 2 instalments of the Matrix were released at the cinema I thought about holding off buying these in favour of buying a box set. I'm sure they will be 1 but when is what I want to know.

A lot of people were disappointed with the 2 new films but I liked them.

Re:Release dates. The usual release date for cRAB/dvRAB etc in the US is a Tuesday, whereas here it's a Monday. If a cd is on simultaneous US/European release we get it a day earlier. Revolutions was bought forward to yesterday to catch the weekend sales.

I will definitely be getting this tomorrow sometime when I cash my pay check. Not only because I thought it was a good film, but the visuals are amazing (the battle for Zion is as visceral as any war film like Saving Private Ryan) and the soundtrack is superb. It will look and sound great on any system, and while I may never play it more than once a year, it'll round off my Matrix collection nicely.

watched it last night and was severely dissapointed with this one. reloaded, while not the best movie had some cool fights and the expected matrix style. this was just dull. seems the wachowski`s ran well out of steam with this.pity. lol.

i think there might be a fault with mine. It seems to be working now but yesterday when viewing the second disc, every time i tried to click on burly brawl it took ages to find where it was supposed to go to and then gave up with a "check disc" error. Also while watching the main feature about 7 minutes into it, it started going all pixelated and dropping audio, skipping frames :(

Same here, but bought the third because i had some gift vouchers from work and didn't have to pay for it.

However I did find myself enjoying it, lots more big guns and less mind bending stuff. My kind of "leave your brain at the door" movie.

Still say that the "Second Renaissance" from the Animatrix is still the best bit of the entire franchise though.
