The other joke was obvious tho, if still funny... as most of the people were saying it as they left

"I'm the architect, ergo, ipsum, visa vee, i haven't a clue what i'm going on about anymore..."

Its obvious whose monitors they are... The Architects. Who is to say that the architect wouldn't be monitoring the situation. Any well made program would look after its own interests. And anyway, the Oracle is there to give advice, but wasn't she cooking in the first film? Just because they have a specific task, it doesn't mean that they don't have tertiary tasks...
 
I didn't say the monitors weren't the Architects, I said the CCTV monitor in the first movie wasn't one of the Architects monitors it was, errmmm, a CCTV monitor. Nor did I say the Architect couldn't monitior, he has been given human form, he has eyes, he has the ability to monitor, but that is not his function. If there was specific monitioring to be done in the matrix there would be a program for it.
 
Watched the matrix reloaded Sunday Night and thought that it was a Brilliant film and very well made

Is defiently one i will buy on DVD when it is out to buy
 
Yes, but in the scene before the famous mouth sealing incident, you see him on about 15 screens, which look like and are the screens of the architect.

And who are we not to say that the architect isn't the monitoring program for the One also?

I'm sure they'll clear this all up in film three !
