The Married Life scene in Up

I enjoyed Up. I didn't feel that it was as consistently good as some of their other ventures and I think Wall.E is still my favourite Pixar film.

However, I do feel I have to comment on the Married Life scene at the beginning of the film.

This scene must be one of the most heartwarming yet heartbreaking scenes I've ever seen. Delicate, delightful and filled with gentle and sincere emotion. Animation and music coming together in something truly special that leaves me with a smile in my heart but tears in my eyes.

Wonderful.

It makes me cry everytime and I've seen it around 6/7 times now.

It's a fantastic film and definately one of my favourite Pixar movies along with Toy Story 1/2, Finding Nemo and A Bug's Life.

For me, that moment is right up there with Jessie's song from Toy Story 2. It's only animation but they make you care so much. Pixar are brilliant storytellers. I can't imagine how sad Toy Story 3 will be.

The audience, which was an evening screening full of kiRAB and adults alike all went very quiet as that scene went on.

The rest of the film is excellent too, Pixar can do little wrong in my eyes.

I also felt sadden by the scene. Shows you how precious married life and life in general is.

Apparently the last 30 mins of the film is really sad. Much more than the Married Life scene.

I don't know if that almost had a negative effect on the film because you have that heart wrenching moment at the beginning and then have to pull everything together.

Like you start on a big high, or that would be low, and it's harder to sweep back into the film with that scene still resonating inside you.
