there are very weird moments in the movie of you thinking your on drugs but take it for what it is and its a good movie

While I was disappointed, I agree that some of the stuff from the book did the movie a favor. Some of the family subplots would have taken away from Susie's story.

It definitely does. I read the book for my book club and although I enjoyed it very much, it was still incredibly disturbing. The sad thing is knowing that this type of stuff happens every day. As for the movie, I was disappointed in its adaptation because it just didn't seem to capture a lot of what made the book so good.

I FINALLY saw this movie. It was really different from the book but I actually liked this adaptation and some stuff being cut out I didn't mind..

I loved this movie so much, and I saw it after the book. Books are always better, but I thought it was a good adaption of the book. The only thing I hated though was the ending and how Susie just randomly morphed back into her own body.

i don't know why u like this movie. i think the movie sucks. i mean not as great as i expected. the lenthy polts really spoil the theme of the book. peter jackson didn't show his talent as he did in the lord of the rings.

Just saw the movie the other night, like a lot of you said, the book was better but the movie was still very powerful. I loved the scenery of heaven.

This movie was really good, the book was better but it did capture moments well.

I love that show and Angela/Jordan are  It's awesome how much he cares about her/loves her little by little, at first he didn't give a damn and then he had feelings for her.

And they ended up together :sigh: no matter what people might think of the last scene of the episode.

I so desperately want to see this movie. Just about anything from Peter Jackson is bound to be pretty excellent. Credit to RIO for that gorgeous picture in the upper left corner.

it definitely does.. the guy who played the killer creeps me out so much hes so believeable.. i almost thought the sister wasnt going to tell .. i hated the ending i wish to see people like that be killed what a terrible story but very great movie.. i didnt like how the mother ran away like everything would be okay i felt bad for mark wahlbergs character

Stanley Tucci stole the show. He always kind of does, though. He can do anything.

lovesophia I was just watching that MSCL episode the other day. The quote in your sig is my absolute favorite.

I couldn't stop thinking even if the movie ends.
When someone who i don't really know talks to me,i swear myself i'll never go in a basemant with him. :pout:
Impressive,huh?And greaat movie.

"Song to the siren" is an awesome song...I've been obsessed by that song since i heard it in the Texas chainsaw massacre trailer.

Saoirse Ronan is such a lovely, talented girl! She has this haunting voice. I am so excited to see what she'll do next. Here she is in the George Lopez show with her cute accent and how to pronounce her name.

and Saoirse, Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon Unscripted
