Loved the movies, very very good. The books are atrocious though. Good story, ruined by Tolkiens terrible, meandering writing style. Having 6 pages of a SONG ruins the flow of the story.
The Return of the King is my favourite of the three. It's the sort of film that cinema was made for. The siege and the battle in front of the White City on the Pelennor FielRAB is utterly breathtaking.
