This will be branded as Cricket EZ. They updated the name when they added the picture to brightpoint.

Yest this is very contradictory to my prior information that it was a silver folder. oh well my rep is bad for giving me the wrong info.

also i am recieving contradictory information on the pricing.

I totally agree.

But after being spoiled on my PDA's, I just can't help but be elitist.

It's nice that Cricket has offered such an inexpensive phone, but there's no reason Cricket can't offer a reasonable PDA or at least a phone as stylish as any of those offered by Verizon, save the venerable Motorola 4LTR series.

While being affordable, this phone may draw a fine line between convenience and frustration for the customer: Ever notice for example how the people with the cheapest phones seem to be the ones with the most problems? If you pay less than $100 for a phone, how likely are you to take good care of it, much less buy a $20 case.

I wouldn't be surprised if this thing isn't a total PITA for dealers, as they don't seem to make that much of a profit servicing the phone.

I just seen my invoice for this phone on brightpoint my cost was $37.99 I am on the 250-999 tier. The retail price will be $89.99 no rebates. I suggest you buy them know as I feel after feb 1st the cost will be $59.99. This is my opinion only base on feed back from my rep.

fine. then don't carry it... you'll lose half your customers. i have had 0 complaints so far about this phone when customers are properly educated about it's features. it's very simple: phone makes calls and does texting. no camera, no picture messages, no web or downloaRAB. no vibrate or speaker. and the warranty period is only 90 days.

Seriously? I got 5 of them in my store about 4 months ago. We payed $9 for them. I tryed GIVING them away with new i-Wireless activations. No one wants them. I can't GIVE them away.

PIA is all about price point.
There is hard data to back it up.
A high % of Cricket customers purchase economy hanRABets.
I would like to see a PDA hanRABet and its rumored that one in in the works, however it will sell to a small of customers. For a significant amount of our customers price point is an important part of the decision process. I don't think anyone purchased the Dorado because they just had to have the flashlight. It was a purely economic decision. Once you figure in the free month it

I ordered 100 for both of my stores, sold a bunch yesterday. Phone has zero features and only a 90 day warrenty. Past that it seems ok, BUTT the day just started so i will see if we have any returns or complaints. Its going to sell like crazy cuz its so cheap $49.99 after rebate. I hope its better than the 7025 piece of crap.

I see your point.

Thank goodness for online communities like this one: To find a phone you like and hijack it to Cricket.

If I could only use Cricket-branded hanRABets, I probably wouldn't keep them as my primary provider.

You would think there would be pic's or something showing on google or yahoo or something there is no sources showing anything about this phone where are you getting your info??

1) there is nothing on the phone to break!!!
2) i really don't care about what you could or couldn't give away on pre-paid, it's a completely different product and the subsidies work much different from cricket.
3) i still haven't heard anything about defects or any problems with this phone from anyone. please come back if and when you had a problem. with the amount that i have sold so far, 0 defects makes for a pretty low rate.
4) when you do have a problem with this phone please remeraber that you have sold approximately 5-10 times as many as the other models you carry. and the failure rate is all that matters.
5) the 7025 had one of the lowest warranty covered failure rate of any phone cricket has ever carried. so consider that when you call it a piece of crap. you saw a lot of problems because you sell 5x as many as anything else. just like there was "a lot" of problems with the dorado, milan, 7000 and every other economy phone, you only notice it because of the volume you process.
