'The Little House'- Coming soon to ITV1.

When I saw the trailer for this I couldnt help thinking of that brilliant plot in Emmerdale where Rosemary King convinced her son that his wife was crazy. Rosemary wanted a grandchild and as her daughter in law couldnt have one she wanted her out of the way so that her son could get somebody else pregnent.

Rosemary slowly began messing with her daughter in laws head until she convinced her son to get her committed.

Add to that the fact that her son was actually gay and you had a brilliant story

I read this a few years ago - it's excellent. I just hope Francesca Anis doesn't overact the character, as she appeared to in the trailer. The mother in the book was much more subtle in her treatment of her daughter-in-law, and it took a while for the poor girl to realise what she was playing at.

Fiona someone. I remember that because I was going out with a girl who had a real crush on james Wilby and was pissed off because he had a scene in the hot tub with this woman, it was years ago, I was only about 18 then

i hope they dont mess it up like the first 'the other boleyn girl' - the first one that was made with the funny camera work etc... (in case people dont know - cos some wont be an obsessive follower like me, its the same author)

I don't like Lucy Griffiths at all. She irritated me in Robin Hood and did my head in in that drama when she copped off with David Morrissey who was cheating on his girlfriend and being stalked. She is simpery and just annoying.

Looking forward to this. I suppose it's a 3 parter like all ITV Monday Night Thrillers?

I wonder if Lucy Griffiths character will have an afair in this, just as most of her other characters?

I'm looking forward to it :) I've read the book but I think a TV adaptation should work really well as long as they don't overplay it.
Should be good, it's made by the same production company that made "Torn".
