"The Life And Times Of Tim" First Season - Talkback (Spoilers)

Wow, this thread's pretty dead. Anyways, last night was another great episode. Tim getting busted for putting porn all over that lady with the bone marrow problem's office was hilarious.

I love how this show keeps referencing past events with the 'Monday Night Confession' throwback. So, Tim just carried the Maxim with him ALL weekend? I kind of saw that coming when they kept bringing up they had no other books to read the kids.

I don't think Tim's ever going to score points with Amy's parents. First it was the wedding incident, then the baptism, now this. It's hard to think that Tim can screw up any worse with Amy's family, but somehow... I know he will. :anime:

I really hope HBO orders a second season for this show.

Hopefully, it has enough of an audience to warrant a second season, but I'm not holding my breath. Hearing Jeff Garlin as Stu's dad just further cements this show as an animated Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Insurmountable High Score

Poor Tim, lol. He killed two birds with one stone at that bar, didn't he? He turned the mailguy back towards drinking AND blinded the man's girlfriend all in one shot, and all with one game of pinball.

Loved the support group scene.

'Hope on a Wall' turned didn't have much hope after all. I love how everytime Tim attempts to do the right thing, it blows up in his face horribly.

Tim Vs. The Baby

Talk about a misquote, lol. Tim was right, how do you NOT notice something like that?

"Don't tell a woman to cover her boobs. Ever. Not even if they're on fire." Good ol' Stu.

The juice bar scene made the episode, especially when Tim insulted the baby.

"Did you just call my baby a (word not allowed by rabroad)?"

And, of course, the woman shows up at the party to *misquote* Tim.

"Talking is getting me nowhere in life." Tim finally figured it out.

Bring on the season one DVD's, and order season 2 already, HBO.

So, does HBO show two back-to-back episodes or is it two 11-minute segments that make up the episode(like, well, any children's animated show)?

Mugged

Tim is gullibly lovable. He's probably the only guy in the world who'd willingly bring a mugger home AFTER getting mugged.

I knew there was a punchline coming with the song lyrics, but I didn't think it'd be as hilarious as it was. Tim trying to help the mugger turn his life around was bound to end horribly, and yet hilariously at the same time.

"In order to acknowledge the irony, I'd have to learn two new words, and I'm not going to do that." Line of the episode.

Yeah, Tim, it's best to warn Amy about what's coming.

Cin City

Tim trying to make Amy jealous was funny, especially when her plans turned out to be better than his.

'Party Marty' indeed.

"The way the conversation's going, I gotta assume it (Marty Jr) is his penis."

It's not as funny out of context, but the way Tim delivers lines like that are 'laugh til you cry hilarious'.

Once again, Tim is gullibly lovable... and he gets set up by Marty. The boss embelishing certain aspects of what happened was... odd, especially the 'hair in a beehive' comment.

Next week's the season finale, and from the synopsis, they're saving the best for last.
