The Liberal media machine...?

I'm curious to understand the extent of the supposed 'liberal media' conspiracy at play in the United States. How far is this assumption based in truth? Could someone shed more light on this? To what extent are figures such as George Soros involved?

It's a genuine question, so please, keep the conflict to a minimum.
 
"Liberal"?

No, the majority of media is not "liberal".

They majority are socialists, communists, Marxists.

Nothing "liberal" about that.
 
"Media" is a business. It is solely about ratings and advertising dollars.
The passionate presentation of the news is all about the numbers .... whether reporting on Presidents, Wars, the Economy or police/car chases.

It is true that there is a "liberal" media and it is also true that there is a "conservative" media. Both are fed info. from "undisclosed sources".

The days of true and honorable journalism - reporting facts as facts & not commentaries as facts - seem to have passed.

Frankly - it is at least more enjoyable to watch Stewart/Colbert.....they make no bones about being "pretend" newscasters, and sometimes they accidentally hit upon some pretty good revelations about our world and the idea of "truth -iness".
 
I'm slightly suspicious of the whole 'liberal media bias' thing, partly because we hear about it in UK yet a large number of our news sources are owned by Rupert Murdoch, a right-leaning libertarian. Figure that one out if you will.
 
As far as I know Fox (Conservative) is the only 'news' network that doesn't deny editorial directives coming from it's owners, ie the Murdoch empire.
