I seriously can NOT wait for the movie to come out on April 10, 2010. But im sure it's worth the wait. I can't wait to see how the bought all 3 games into 1 movie.

Any Opinions?

(and i meant movie, not move, please fix)

I don't think this is coming out{or perhaps it got delayed}. It certainly donesn't look like it's coming out April 10th. A}There's no trailer. B}April 10's a Saturday.

Yeah, the lack of trailer for something that's less than a month away is a good indicator that it ain't happening.

Plus, I preferred the original Insomiac games. The Legend of Spyro is just... bleh by comparison. :p

Found this (likely fan art) online. And yes, this movie isn't happening.

1. This movie has not been confirmed, has no trailer, and no information has been leaked for many months. Plus, like the others said, no movie is ever released on a Saturday.

2. Even if this movie is going to be made (which it won't) it won't be based on the Insomniac games. Spyro looks nothing like he did in those.

I think that about covers it. Mods, please do your duty.

I read somewhere that the studio making it will have animation done by The Animation Picture Company, the same studio that did the direct-to-video CG Garfield movies.

So I hope none of this is true.

Wait a minute... Spyro's a relevant property that a movie for it is in production? I thought there was a reason as to why there weren't any new games for it and why they failed for a reason, they weren't that good.

This smells like an early April Fools Day gag if you ask me.

The rumor has actually been floating around for months, even including a seemingly legit cast list. But I always suspected it wouldn't happen.

Plus like you said, Spyro is old news.

Because Google is always accurate.

As long as you're here specspi, I tried clicking on your forum but I got a prompt from my Norton Antivirus. I think it might be infected with some kind of malware. You should shut it down.

I hope that it isn't true either. The CG Garfield movies didn't have good designs for the characters.

I remember hearing about this and seeing that poster for this movie. I really hope that it isn't true. As Daxdiv mentioned, Spyro is a pretty old property and I don't think that it's popular enough to warrant a theatrical movie. Maybe a direct to DVD movie could work. I also don't see how they could get the whole trilogy of games into one movie, especially when the trilogy itself didn't really do a good job of covering to the story, at least to me. Since it's been so long since we've heard about this movie with no updates, I wouldn't be surprised if it was canceled.

I too am depressed at the thought of it being cancelled.I grown strongly attached to Spyro after the release of the Legend series (it's more mature).:crying::crying::crying::crying:
