I don't fully understand this chemistry question:
The following are the masses of nitrogen that combines with 1 gram (g) of oxygen (O):
1. NO = 1.70g
2. NO 2 = 0.85g
3. NO 4 = 0.44g
Calculate the ratio of the masses of nitrogen in each of the following:
a. NO: NO 2
b. NO 2: NO 4
c. NO: NO 4
* I think the ratio of the mass of nitrogen for the first question is 2:1. Would the next two questions have the same ratio? Please help me.
