The last time you cried at a film.

I watched Big Daddy a few nights ago and the recap of the little boy's time living with the guy got me crying.

I love that film.

At the risk of folk taking the p*ss, I shed a tear at Shallow Hal when I caught it on DVD for the first time last Friday night

The bit where he realises what the children at the hospital really look like!

I hadnt cried at a film in ages then last week i saw Thirteen which was really emotional. Its about a teenager going off the rails, has anyone seen it? I thought it was really good.

Don't apologise or I may feel the need to do similar. I watched Titanic purely to keep my elder daughter happy (honest!!!) and got quite engrossed by the end; so much so that I couldn't avoid the odd tear down the cheek.

I made sure that I thrashed myself in hearty fashion with a bunch of birch twigs, everyday for a week after that. ;)

I cry at nearly all movies - I think it's a sign of a good movie!
Love Actually, Artificial Intelligence, Dead poets society, Kramer vs Kramer
Moulin Rouge, Ghost... the film that really gets me is The Awakenings, could sob for ages after that

the film that got me upset was 'amistad', 'a dry white season','rabbit proof fence' & 'braveheart' mainly because they relect on real life events of predujice & injustice in history, which some people need to be educated on

Yep, same here. In fact, I'm yet to hear of anyone who didn't cry at The Green Mile (although I guess I'll hear plenty now I've thrown down the gauntlet!), and that is an amazing reflection on the quality of acting, writing (though what do you expect from Steve King?) and directing of the film. When Hanks and the others start crying when John Coffey is put to death, it's impossible to not shed a tear yourself. And when he asks that the hood isn't put on, because he's afraid of the dark...sooooo emotional.

Yes, Titanic is very much a film of two halves. An horrendous pot boiler of a period romp for the first 90 minutes, followed by a gripping Aliens-style thriller in part two. Sadly, you have to sit through the first half to really appreciate the second.
