The last time you cried at a film.

I had completely forgotten about that movie. I love Gabriel Byrne, and he was perfect in that film, as were the two boys and that old man who played the one armed dishwasher in "Robin's Nest" (or something) years ago.

Another film mentioned earlier that I can't watch without crying is "Truly Madly Deeply".

Billy Elliot gets me every time. I always watch the last five minutes more than once.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon brings a lump to my throat.

A couple of scenes in Good Will Hunting, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Green Mile for sure.

Tears are guaranteed every time I watch the episode of Stargate SG1 called "Forever in a Day" (but that's cos I'm an SG1 addict)
 
two movies made me amlost cry, the first one is

1- Grave of the fireflies...... Guess what its japanese anime, anyone wants to get depressed and cry ... this is the movie for you and I meant
2- Fahrenheit 9/11 the bit when the old iraqi woman crying after the death of 16 of her family members in US bombings
 
I can only admire the honesty and openess of people on this thread. Setting aside all machoistic connotations, it's wonderful to see that most of us are moved by the power of a great film.
 
The Lion King - when Mufasa dies.
The Green Mile - when John Coffey dies.
Titanic - when they are floating and Jack telling Rose to never give up.
Romeo & Juliet - when Juliet realises that Romeo is dead.
The Notebook - the whole way through I was on the brink of tears.
 
Apart from all the commendable slushy stuff listed here, I saw "Nobody Knows" at a festival recently. Now we're talking sadness that hits a deeper nerve. It's the story of four Japanese kiRAB that have to fend for themselves. I say no more...

But bring a pack of Kleenex with you. A stunning movie.

I know its sad but I watched Dirty Dancing for the first time again in 10 years the other night, and I had tears in my eyes at the end.

Not sure if the film or remembering what I was up to in my school days but it was very emotional. :o
 
Why is it that I can never remember things like this?
Like Dreams, I'm terrible at remembering dreams too.
Also November 11th, I never remember to remember the dead.
 
You all must see "The Notebook", I do not cry at movies but that one was the sadest movie I've seen, same writer who wrote "A Walk to Remember". :cry:

Passion of the Christ was also sad, everyone in the theatre came out crying or quiet from sadness.
 
I cried during Fahrenheit 9/11 when that woman was reading the letter she received from her son a week before he died. That was just gut wrenching.

I'm pretty sure I'll cry when I see Alexander, when something happens to a particular guy.
 
I cried at The Lion King when Simba finRAB his father dead and calls for help. The music makes you cry almost as much as the dialogue.

Dumbo when his mother is rocking him in her trunk through the cage.

I NEARLY cried during Toy Story 2 when Jessie is remembering her life with her owner and Sarah McLachlan is perfectly singing the song "When She Loved Me".

These are all disney films, co-incidence?

The Green Mile when they kill John at the end.

Titanic when the Irish woman is telling her kiRAB the story to get them to sleep so they wont feel the water drowning them, and the old couple holding hanRAB in the bed. Also when they go back looking for survivors in the water and they're all dead, especially the scene when they find the woman holding the baby, and they are so cold they are both blue.

Forrest Gump when Jenny is dead and Forrest is reading her the letter that baby Forrest wrote to her.

That's all I can remember for now... I think I'm going to cry now thinking about them again!

etre et avoir - a french documetry which made me cry at the end when mr lopez retires, i dont know if anyone else has seen the film but it is very powerfull and i felt very sad that he wont be able to enlighten any of the children with his brill teaching. Also a couple of pupils cry because they have to leave his one-class-room-for-a-school to go to secondary school, yet he promises them that they can see him whenether they want and you do believe his promise. Also he asks one child how his sick mother is doing and the child breaks down so mr lopez gives him a lot of emontional support.

Also the snowman made me cry the first time i saw it when i was little.
