Very good film which just played on Channel 4!

Did the British doctor make it back?? There was some text that came up about all but one of the hostages being executed? But I didn't read it properly
 
Didn't see the film but it's always struck me as strange how Idi Amin disappeared at about the same time that Alex Salmond become boss of the SNP.........

Has anyone ever seen them together ?

I think he converted to Islam.But surely that's not reason to let him get away with it?.

Really should have taped that, can't seem to get 'into' films unless it's late at night and I stop browsing random banter on here.

Edit Just noticed the typo there 'Ida', don't suppose he'd be anymore funny if he was called Ida though.
 
I'd can only guess they had dealings with him under the table that they didn't want him to expose.
The fact that he'd probably salted away millions in Swiss bank accounts probably helped.
What was it with Thatcher and General Pinochet too?

There are a number of dictators who seem to get away and end up living in exile.
I suppose some negotiate and 'out' before they leave.
 
Mugabe would probably end up going into exile with his loot and no risk of prosecution if he ever gave up or was forced from power.........:rolleyes:
