The Last Exorcism

Released on Friday.

I saw this film a couple of weeks ago at an advance screening. It's an interesting concept and it actually worked really well for the most part. The characters actually had some background and were developed well, particularly the main guy.

Unfortunately, it was completely ruined for me by the ending. I won't give it away, but it just seemed crudely tacked on and out of kilter with the the rest of the film. It was as if there was originally a different ending and it was changed during a re-write, or after test screenings.

When it ended I just thought "is that it?" it was a lazy ending, we didn't find out what happened to the rest of the characters, and even what happened to the exorcist girl at the end... worst film I've ever seen... scary in some parts but some of it didn't make sense and.. it was just completely lazy.
