The Last Airbender

Not sure how they can try and emphasize on the 3D. It's one of those films where the 3D was added after completion and makes it look awful.

I doubt the studio will go ahead with Books 2 and 3 now. They've garnered so much flack from this and probably haven't broken even.

It'd take a pretty dumb executive to give the sequels the green light.

Thank goodness this wasn't made by Dreamworks, that's all I'll say. ;)

I saw it today and i wasn't very pleased. The story just jumped from one place to another, with no continuity. Its a great shame as im a big fan of the animated series.

Just watched this film yesterday and i have to say it was poor, the trailer was the best thing about the film i would say its watchable but only just...

Mr Night Shyamalan has been on a downward slide for quite a while now! A shame as I loved The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. This film looks like being the worst film of the year.

it hinted a sequel at the start when it said Book One: Water ! not the worst movie ever made but pretty poor and i didnt understand it for the first hour and i have to say the cinema was packed with kiRAB so it must be making some money

I am a fan of the animated series, so I will probably go and see it. But I have heard that there is a hell of a lot of exposition - I mean they basically took a 400 minute series (season) and tried to cram as much of the characters background, locations, mythology etc. into a 90 minute film. This is going to make it hard to watch for some people I am sure.

I will echo the worRAB of a poster previously, watch the animated series.

I feel this is another one of those movies I will have to explain why I am a fan of the series. Like Harry Potter, I am a fan of the books, but when people I know watched the films they wonder why I am a fan (the sixth film especially) and I end up defending myself along the lines of "the books are better honest". I feel this will be the case with Avatar: The Last Airbender too.

105 minutes of tai chi makes one seriously boring film.

I stuck with it to the end but a few people walked out when I saw it. Not good when there were only about 10 people watching at the start. I think the first walk out was after about 20 minutes.

Saw it yesterday, bit disappointing as it does jump around a bit. Glad I saw it though.:) There were three yound boys sat near as and they did snigger at the "bender" references.
