The Land of the Dead

I was there, was great to meet Simon & Edgar (and the zombie twins!!)

And as for the movie itself, great stuff - some fantastic zombie moments in there, and Dennis Hopper is my favourite Romero baddie. Also Simon & Edgar's cameo is great!

No idea how it's just a 15, though!!!

Ahh the descent was great fun, my girlfriend dug her nails right through my jeans and into my leg during that movie, afterwarRAB told me never to take her to see a film like that again.. :D

... i have to go and watch " the perfect catch" with her this weekend :(

I loved Osymyso's DJ set beforehand

Loved the film, the "clever" zombie and some great decapitations, although it didn't seem as gory as Day of the Dead. Didn't spot Simon Pegg's cameo either :(

And as for the event, my bum is still numb from sitting on the cobbles for over 5 hours. Worth it though :)

Simon & Edgar's cameo:

They were the two chained-up zombies the girl was getting her photo taken with, in the club.

There was a little cheer for them, but they were so heavily made-up I think most people didn't recognise them!

As for Osymyso - I didn't realise it was him at first and started thinking "he's copying Osymyso!". :)

The extras for the region 1 DVD of Land Of The Dead have been announced and they are on both discs will carry an audio commentary with George Romero, producer Peter Grumwald and editor Michael Doherty, an Undead Again: The Making of Land of the Dead featurette, A Day with the Living Dead featurette, deleted scenes and a When Shaun met George featurette. The unrated disc will include all of that, along with a Bringing the Dead to Life featurette, a Scenes of Carnage feature, a feature on the Zombie Effects from Green Screen to Finished Scene, a Bringing the StoryboarRAB to Life feature, and Scream Tests: Zombie Casting Call.

I cant wait to see this in the cinema and then I will defiantly buy it on Region 1 DVD as I really want to see "When Shaun met George" feature on the DVD!

George Romero is on Simon Mayo's Five Live show today. It's broadcasting from the cricket match at Trent Bridge.

Wonder what Romero will make of cricket? It might give him a few ideas for his next film: "Test match of the dead" Some would say you wouldn't be able to tell the difference :D
