The Land of the Dead

I was looking on the BBFC web site for the release date etc and it does not appear to have been certified over here yet.

It's probably the only film that I actually want to see in the cinema this year.

I'm going to do a Night of the Living Dead (remake), Dawn of the Dead (original), Day of the Dead daytime frenzy and then go to see Land of the Dead in the evening.
 
Yeah Simon Pegg does play a Zombie in Land Of The Dead. The UK release date for it is now 23rd of September so its still over a month to wait untill it is released!
 
A summer release did it no favours in the States. It'll play better when the weather's cooler and the nights are drawing in.
 
The trailer looks great i did hear thoug that the game has been dropped by its label. They didnt like how it was looking. wether thats a good thing or not i dont know. the screen shots ive seen look really good.
 
I'm going to a special double bill showing this saturday (20th) - Land of the Dead showing back to back with Shaun of the Dead.

I'm gonna be in zombie heaven (if that exists :confused: )
 
I've seen it, its a fun movie, not upto the stndard of Romereos dawn of the dead, which was the best in the series, but its pretty good.

Plenty of guts and blood, the premise is ok, but i reckon more could have been made out of the duality of the class system in the isolated city.

The premise isnt as satisfying as the "group-of-survivors-trapped-in-the-shopping-mall" set-up od DOTD though.

Its a hell of a lot more gripping than skeleton key, which was rubbish

Land Of The Dead is being released on DVD in Region 1 on the 18th of October and it will be available in 2 versions. The 2 versions are a rated and unrated version with the unrated version being 4 minutes longer. No extras have been announced yet!
 
It's not bad. Not brilliant but not bad.

I saw it a few weeks back and enjoyed it, however I do think they could have done more with it.
 
There's a LOTD game, subtitled The Road to Fiddler's Green, coming out in the States in October. Dunno if we'll get it here
