The proof will be in whether audiences think it is a good or bad and either do or don't recommend others to see. The openning day box office may be weak, but this may turn out to be one of those films that has a rather slow and steady run rather than a huge, blockbuster-type opening and then fizzles out after a few weeks.
Also, the days of critics being the so-called voice of the people is long over... Especially, since they were completely dead wrong about "Da Vinci Code" and trashed the film simply because it was Ron Howard and Tom Hanks more than anything, I.E. corporate jealously.
