The King Is Dead - BBC3

Yeh , thats not too bad , the best one was Pulling I do thank BBC3 for that , damn shame they canned it , then Ideal I never liked Johnny Vegas until this great programme. But then I am not in their target audience - but Pulling was definitley in my age group I think when it got its pink dog tag they lowered the age hence scrapping Pulling.

And didn't Pulling win a Bafta award or a Comedy award last year as well? I never understand these decisions when these programmes win awards and then they just axe them?! How does that make any sense to anyone!

When I seen the press relase and seen the title I thought it sounded crap, seen ad's on bbc 3 and looked crap, watched first episode and thought "What the Heck is this??!" What a load of shite. it's so random it's completely not funny and pointless! :(

BBC 3, as mentioned above, is a bit funny. I think it is 50/50.. half good half utter shite, to be blunt.

BBC3 and BBC4 are the complete opposites of each other. 3 is the worst of the BBC's channels, with all the absolute rubbish on it and 4 is the best.

When my boyfriend and I went to see Simon Bird's standup in Clacton, it wasn't stand up at all. It was literally this programme with audience members, and it was bloody awful then too. So bad in fact, that I never even took my coat off. I was ready to leave. It also only lasted 45 mins!! We weren't the only ones who were pissed off, let me tell you.

Anyway, the TV version: I saw the Louis Walsh and Jenny Bond one..and -shock horror!- I thought it was terrible.

It was painfully unfunny imo. I like the "style" of the show, as it's different from a lot of quiz shows on at the mo (although I don't know if you can categorise this as a quiz show..)

Mildly interesting questions and facts etc, but the comedic material was awful! From all 3 of them.

Simon just seemed so cringeworthgly smug at his rubbish quips and jokes, and what really got me, was how awkward and embarrassed the guests were! They honestly must've been thinking, "What the hell are we doing here?" What was the deal with Louis Walsh in the hot seat or whatever it was? What on earth was the point of that?! Showing off that guy's terrible improv skills?

It was so stupid and "raaaaaandom maaaaan" Just pointless. Terrible terrible show.

Stick to The Inbetweeners, Bird.

Just watched this on the iplayer, and I thought it was very funny. It strikes me as like a dark, twisted version of Shooting Stars, with a satirical edge.

Watched ep 3 first, then ep 2. Ep 2 has left me feeling a little weird- at times it was so close to the edge, I wondered if it had crossed the line; though maybe that was partly down to how much Caprice was clearly not enjoying it.

The only criticism I'd make, is that due to the number of skits (which I do find funny) there isn't quite enough involvement with the guests- they come across a bit as being stooges. For instance, I really wanted to hear more from Kirsten O'Brien in the second show- she's a funny woman in her own right.

That aside, a definite thumbs up from me.

Simon bird is a funny guy (not so much in this) but I find the 2 co-presenters more weird than funny.

Simon is actually a pretty good stand up comedian but this show is terrible

It's unique (I've never seen it before anywhere else) but my God it is a pile of absolute b*****ks; and the only thing going for it is the fit female that does it (Katie Wix?) and the occasional female taking part. Like Kate Walsh & Mollie King.
