The keys on my dodge durango not working like they use to?

My cousin just installed some new sounds for me and I dont know if he did something wrong but there are 3 buttons on my keys: lock unlock and alarm. Before he put the sounds in there the alarm button worked fine and the lock button made a beep noise when i locked it. But it dosent do it anymore. The alarm dosent work period and the lock dosent make the beep sound anymore? the question is how do i get the buttons back working like they use to?
 
It sounds like your cousin left some wires connected incorrectly, but another possibility is that the power was off long enough that the remote and the alarm are no longer synched up. Bring both keys to your remote alarm dealer and they might be able to get it synched up again.
 
With electricity anything is possible. It can be a loose wire, crossed wired, short circuit, etc. etc.. So there's no way to answer HOW. But you can do the basics, like checking the fuse to see if he accidentially blew the fuse (to the alarm, etc.) Or if there's any loose wire (that he might have knocked loose).

Other than that, get your cousin to look into your car again.
