Your sister went to court for what? An arraignment? A jury trial? to be assigned a public defender? What happened, what was the appearance for?
The judge gave the DA until Sept 1 to do what? Amend a complaint? Make a motion? Turn discovery over to the defense attorney? What?

Her being pregnant is not relevant as far as her charges goes.
The detectives don't have to have a gun for the DA to charge her with armed robbery, and if this wasn't the trial, it's likely you probably don't know what evidence the DA may have been collecting up to this point, if it is still early in the game.
Be patient. If your sister is just starting the process, it could take months or years just to get to trial.
