The irrational and the not-so-irrational annoyance thread part two...

When you respond with 'no' and people assume you're being insubordinate, when actually you have a very good reason.

Random example,

"Can you get me this document by 5 o'Clock?"

"No"

....

I'm sorry, did I have to explain myself? I did tell you the other day I have a dental appointment....
(Don't say that bit outloud..)

The thread title is still wrong - it's part one of the official rational and irrational thread, although part two of the unofficial one.

When clicking back to a browser window so your mouse has focus and it jumps to an advertisers website because the space you clicked on was actually part of one huge ad link.

When news reporters say (insert generic public service based JOB / do gooder here) should be 'an inspiration to us all'

Like that newperson is somehow telling is we should be better people and all be ashamed of ourselves.

I annoy myself at work because I cannot stand to have unread bolded emails, so even if they're junk I need to mark them as read (thereby unbolding them) before I delete them. Utterly pointless but I can't break the habit.

When you are holding with music waiting for a customer-services-represntative (as now) and it keeps cutting out and going to a voice - 'click - pause - "we are still busy - keep waiting"' - meaning you can't relax and get on with what you are doing, as you think 'this might be it!' every time.

If you are going to keep doing it, at least give me a queue-nuraber countdown!
