Im a big Gervais fan but I saw this film last night and I have to say that this was a load of rubbish.

I bought this when it first came out, and I still haven't watched it yet !
How does it compare to Ghost Town ?
Does he play Ricky Gervais again ??

Ghost Town is much better but he really does play Ricky Gervais in this film. I think the worst thing is that I didnt laugh at any of the jokes. I would say its the worst film ive seen for a long while!

It may be just a coincidence, but its rubbish on Blu Ray too.
Though I may have to borrow Jay Bigz's AVI as that seems to be a rare enjoyable version.

I intended to get IOL on Bluray however I spotted it on Virgin VOD in HD for

it doesn't really make a believable world, everyone is an imbecile in that world so it sorta falls flat from the start.

I'd like to say I don't like Gervais, but he portrays his characters in such a way that I get absorbed and forget they're him.

But, of course, I can't.
