The Inside Man

Just wondering how many people are looking forward to seeing this movie?

For once I am excited about seeing a movie, it seems like it has been a while since I got excited about a movie

I hope to see it, but it seems so much alike to "Firewall".. I like the adverts, they seem something new, with the main character chatting about what he is planning..

I saw Inside Man at a preview on Thursday night - really enjoyed it, though the end started to drag a bit. But only slightly. Was much better than I expected, and not just your typical hostage/bank robbery/cop film...

I'd suggest V for Vendetta, having only watched it today.

It's a much better idea than a bank robbery, in my opinion.

I went to see it last night.

I didn't realise it was a Spike Lee film, i wouldn't normally watch his films as they are not quite my taste. This film had the Spike Lee stamp all over it. Don't get me wrong it was a good film, but word of warning, don't go to the loo or else you'd get confused, its one of those you need to keep on top of whats happening. It had a bit of a Law and order (the US cop show ) feel about it in parts as well.

Strange ending, strange film (i wont give out the ending), but needless to say, it's not your average bad guy good guy film ending, i'd rate it 8/10

I missed the previews over the weekend for this but I will have to catch it when it is offically released on friday. It does look really good from the trailer so lets hope it lives upto my expections!

I caught a preview of Inside Man this weekend and was impressed with it. I say impressed because I had expected little from it (or anythinge else thats out at the moment to be honest :( ). I was dying to go to the loo about 45 minutes into it but there were too many people either side of me to climb over and so suffered through (brave girl that I am ;) ) and at the end I was glad that I had sat it out otherwise my head would have been all over the place when I got back.

I've just seen it at a preview screening. I thought it was very well acted. Jodie Foster's character actually seemed feminine...still didn't have a boyfriend or husband though. The filming did make me nauseous on several occasions and it did seem to be quite dark as well. Getting out of the cinema a couple of hours later I couldn't actually see the point of the film. Where did it actually go? It couldn't seem to decide what it wanted to be either - Action film, political thriller, crime film, 1940's detective story...
In the end everyone had their price, nobody wasn't dirty in this film. But somehow this seemed to be ignored it seemed that if you steal from a man that dealt with the nazi's who stole from the Jews it somehow made the stealing ok. It was ok to ruin his life now that you had got your cut.

I didn't understand how they knew that a - he worked with the nazi's and b- he kept the information in his safety deposit box. That was never explained. I also don't believe that a guy can live in a bank for a week after a crime - the police would have had sniffer dogs around that place and gone over it with a fine tooth comb the minute the hostages were out of there or else they wouldn't have been doing their jobs properly. Even accepting that the man managed to stay in the bank for a week - how the heck did he walk out of the basement of the bank? I would think they would have beefed up security and the video cameras would be working this time. I'm sorry but that is just completely unbelievable.

Oh yes I think it was too long because it really started to drag. There was a couple of people in front of me who switched on their phones because they were so bored.
