it was much different from what i expected.. it was very long though i felt like it dragged a little.. the main guy played such a good role.

Jeremy is amazing! I really think that he's going to be able to stay on this path now that he's finally been noticed :love:
 
I can't wait to rewatch it.
I hope Jeremy keeps getting more major roles. He's awesome. :D
 
This movie is brilliant.
I went to it without any expectation, I actually thought I wouldn't like it but It captured me from the first second. I was impressed.
The actors did a fantastic job. I didn't know the main guys but they were great.

I quite liked the ending. It was something so believable.

I'm considering buying the DVD, but havn't done it yet.
 
I only saw it this Easter holiday but yeah i agree. I was so tense throughout the whole thing, my hands over my face at points.

My family didn't like the ending when he went back but i don't think it was the sort of film where you could have the warm, happy ending where the heroes go home to go back to their families and live happy ever after. Although they desereved it. It would definately have been OOC for that to happen imo. That was where he fit, what made him feel alive, where he could help. He wasn't the guy for doing the cereal shopping after everything he'd been through and seen. I liked that the film addressed that side of things.
 
This movie was fantastic! It was very intense and suspenseful at times, which I loved. There were great performances by the cast too. I'm glad it won best picture, though I don't think it deserved best screenplay.

i saw crazy heart, and it not that great of a movie.

i also saw A single Man and i agree the Oscar should have gone to Colin Firth or Jeremy.

i remember watching the nominations live streaming and no was applause or cheering then when Jeremy name was read out.

I really think Jeremy should have won as well. I didn't get the chance to see Crazy Heart, but from what I have heard while Jeff Bridges was great, he was given the award for sentimental reasons. I also heard that the race should have been between Jeremy and Colin Firth.

I was happy he got the nomination, too. He deserved it - heck, he actually deserved to win, but that's another story :P

I'm not a big fan of war movies, but I loved The Hurt Locker. Intense, great performances, great direction. Jeremy Renner carries the movie the whole time and the cast in general has genuine good chemistry, it's brilliant.

I really don't understand how it won the oscar (inglorious basterds fan here) BUTTTTTTTTT im glad it won, coz ANYTHING but AVATAR :lmao:
 
Don't even get me started on Jeremy Renner :sigh: Completely deserving of that Oscar nomination. When I saw that he was nominated at 5:30 in the morning, I started screaming and hitting my boyfriend :rotfl:
 
I actually enjoyed this movie.
Normally these aren't my type of films, but it made me understand just some of the pressure the people out there in the war are facing.
It was a really good film.
 
Well it out on DVD now in the US as well as in the cinemas, you should really check it out. I only saw it in the first place because I had been given a ticket to a advanced screening. I went to a little reluctant think it'll be the typical bloke war movie, only to find my self sitting on the edge of my sit for a good majority of it.

I'm so glad that a little indie movie beat out Avatar. I wish that Jeremy Reener had won the Oscar, I mean I saw Crazy Heart and yes the movie is good and Jeff Brigdes is good but he was not the Best Performance by a long shot. For me it was a tie between Colin Firth and Jeremy Reener.
