Is on this Friday 14th August..:D

i love this film .The transformation is great, when he changes into a werewolf.. American werewolf in London transformation is good too, but you see more of The Howling one.Oooooooooooowwwwww :D, and he says ''Do you want a piece of my brain'' ,,Erghh

Very entertaining, underrated werewolf movie.Less said about the unrelated sequels the better.

Surprised Hollywood hasn't remade this one yet.

Love The Howling.

As jamespondo said the sequels were pretty bad. Apart from the Howling II all the stories are unrelated. I think the Howling 4 is pretty much a remake of the first film.

Didn't some of the sequels get made in Australia on a shoestring budget?

I thought I read somewhere the original was being remade!

I haven't seen 2, 3, 4 or 7 but from what I remember of 5 there was no actual werewolf transformation scene or any werewolf for that matter until the very end in a 2 second shot and in 6 it was an alright-ish transformation scene but the end product was just a tall hairy man who walked around on 2 legs...

Maybe it's a franchise they should just leave alone? Same goes with Hallowe'en, Friday 13th etc. Too many sequels that just ruin the original one which is usually the best and most highly regarded.

Bump the thread :D as it's on Saturday..I missed it last time it was on..Make sure i record it this time..lol..A good classic werewolf film..I love it!!

:D

It's really difficult to say which transformation is best as they are both good in different ways

Eddie seems to enjoy changing into his werewolf whilst David fights his transformation to the bitter end

For me personally, David's transformation just edges it as you can feel the torment he goes through every step of the way especially the first time he changes
