The House trilogy...must see!

Does anyone remember this bizarre trilogy of horror movie from the 80's?

I've just noticed theres a 4th one which I really must see. Anyway, they are mostly unrelated to each other. The first was a haunted house with a monster in it aswell. the 2nd is my personal favourite its completly bizarre, with the house, a pre historic world and a wild western theme.

The 3rd is about a serial killer that won't go away.

Please say I'm not the only one on here who remembers and enjoys these. Where can I get house 2 on DVD?

Only House 1, 2, and 4 are the actual trilogy. House 3 was a seperate film called the Horror Show and the House title was added for the European release.

Ironically, it was the best of the series after part 1, and quite unpleasant for the time. The version they showed on Sky Movies was short of the scene showing the legs in the mincer. I believe they showed the US R-rated version rather than the uncut version that was available as a UK 18. They did the same with Nightmare on Elm St 5.

I've just got House 1 & 2 off ebay - so excited! I still need to find 3 and 4 though. Any ideas?

Another DVD I'm really trying to find is Ernest Scared Stupid. Where can you buy these rare DVD;s?

Hate to say it,but I thought they were all rather tacky, confusing and mostly uneven. The first has some ok SFX and is put together ok,the second is fun in a bizarro kind of way. Both movies have a nice sense of humour attached to them.

The Horror Show (unrelated) is another in a long line of "Elm Street" ripoRAB,with the obligatory nastiness and gore. It's also fairly incoherent, but does have Brion James as the villain.

Never seen the 4th (3rd) movie.
