The house i am renting has been sold. At what point does my original landlord

lose his right to give notice? Not long ago my Landlord sold the house in which i am living. Recently, he came in for an inspection, and has given me my notice. (He is outside his rights to give notice in any case, and i am currently writing a letter in reply, making this clear.)

I want to know, in New Zealand, at what point after selling the house he loses his right to give notice.
