It's a good film. The least of Fulci's 'zombie quartet' for sure, but still a decent enough piece of thickly-layered incomprehensible Italian gothic. The use of widescreen is great, and the celluloid texture is very rich and 'filmy', something which has been sorely lacking since the start of the 90s and prevails to this day. The opening theme alone is pure 'horror film' for anyone who as a kid was always sent to bed just as they were starting.
I just love the scene of the mother not questioning the housemaid as to why she's mopping up a massive pool of blood, and if I was rich would have it on a loop with other Italian horror scenes throughout my massive house on massive teles.
