The horn isn't working on my '82 Honda Nighthawk?

I bought it about a week ago with 14,000 miles on it. All electrical wires work (including the fuze's) except the horn. I got a small "beep" from it about 6 days ago, after pushing it 40 times. Any ideas?

There are only two wires that go to a horn. Find your horn and put a 12 volt test lite on one of the terminals and push your button. If there is no lite, go to the other terminal and try that one. That will tell you if the horn works or your button is bad. Another test for the horn is to take any 12 volt battery and disconnect your horn and hook up the Positive and Negative wires from your new battery and just hook them up to the two terminals on your horn. As soon as you touch the last wire is will HONK continually. If it does, then your button is bad. Go to dealer and get the whole button, switch assembly, because that's the only way it's sold and it just plugs in by color.
