The only stupid questions are the ones we never ask. :)

I'm no math whiz but this is what I would do: Multiply by .03

Have you tried Wikipedia to start with?

Just for example: Lazzi

There is a page there will links to some of the names that you mention: Category:Commedia dell'arte

Thanks so much for replying  Those are great methods! I'd like to have flashcards work for me but I have tried and I think I'm just too disorganized to allow them to work. Although writing down key points is defiantly something I should do.

actually im pretty sure i can. im fluent in spanish and i can read and write it, so maybe i can teach you a little, too. :)

Hey guys! So my friend is currently doing a drama assignment and needs a little help, but unfortunately i have no knowledge of Commedia Dell Arte.
What does burlei and lazzi mean and what are the characters (such as Brighella, Colombina, Isabella, Il Capitane, etc) characteristics? :flowers:

I have no idea where to ask this (Google has failed me :pout:) but I'm writing a little paper and need to know, on average, how many police officers work in a police station?

I'm thinking between 20 and 50 but if someone knows a closer estimate, I'd appreciate it. This question would probably be best if answered by an American (I have o idea if there are more cops-per-station-houses in other countries but I don't want to give an overestimation/underestimation if I can help it. :)

OK this is a totally random and weird assignment that have to hand in on Sunday and I was hoping for ideas, heres the assignment:
We have to read 'The Little Prince' and then design sort of like a cage for the little prince, not the typical type of cage, a house also counts as a cage but it has to have a reason for why we do it, :look:  anyways, have you guys read the book? I read it and Im having trouble coming up with ideas I was wondering if you could help :D

I've done that before for a business program. Just to get a sense of what accounting is about because basic knowledge of it is required. People like to think that if you are good at math, you'd be good at accounting but it's not necessarily true. Being good at math may help with getting the correct calculations but accounting is really a different way of thinking. I didn't do well in math but I got a really high mark in my introductory accounting class.

As for the thinking involved, it's more like problem solving with critical thinking. There are formulas and methods that you have to follow, so this part is like math. But before you do any of that, you have to first take into consideration what needs to be included in all those calculations in the first place in order to do a balance sheet. Usually, you'd be doing problem sets where you'd be given a scenario such as someone starting their own business and needs to calculate their costs and expenses. For example, the money being spent can be a fixed cost or it can be a variable cost where it changes monthly, yearly etc. Accounting helps with breaking things down so you can see the big picture and make a decision with the information presented. In general, if you like problem solving, you may find it interesting.

Welcome to :ff: I hope that you have a lot of fun posting here. But please remember that we need to say on topic on the threads even though this board is Off Topic. The homework thread is really for people who need an assist with homework.

"30 is the new 20" was just part of a funny Bunny thread title.

I feel stupid for asking this but my mind just went blank...

how would I find 3 percent of 270 million?
I flew by everything else (math is my best) and my mind just shut off on the last question...
please help?

Has anybody here taken an indtroductory accounting class? I'm gonna be starting it up something this month and I'm wondering what it's all about and if it's hard or not... is there a lot of thinking involved? lol

Can someone help me plz? Im doing a video about when i moved for an english assignment and i want a song to put in the background, so can anyone think of a good sad song about moving? it doesn't even have to be sad, just a song about moving. if anyone could help it would be much appreciated

Ugh, I hate it when teachers assign ambiguous assignments.
-Such a pet peeve of mine.

Anyway, my English class went over this poem by Sylvia Plath, and I found it quite amazing:

Mirror

Sylvia Plath

I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
Whatever I see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful-
The eye of the little god, four cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.

Hope I helped a bit.
The best of luck with your assignment!

There's actually a free Photoshop-like program called GIMP you could try. You can download it here.

If that doesn't work out, you could always print the two pictures out. Cut out the Caesar one out and paste it on the rollercoaster picture.
