The Holiday

I just can't make up my mind, from what I have seen of it (ie the trailer) it looks really contrived and not funny in the least.
On the other hand, it has a great cast and it looks like the perfect Christmas chick flick!

Decisions, decisions.... :confused:
 
Watched it today, thought it was great, but then I'm a sucker for these type of films! Over 2 hours long but didn't feel it! Oh and before the film, I didn't get the Jude Law attraction thing, but left thinking what a gorgeous man he is!! :o
 
Saw it on tues - worth seeing, although I would prob wait for dvd - it was a bit long, but the actors were brilliant - good story, funny.
 
TBH Jude Law has never really floated my boat if you know what I mean, but I must grudgingly admit he does look quite sexy in the trailer.

Sorry to sound "baldist" :o but he did appear to be losing his hair recently which made him look even worse, however from what I can see he seems to have a full head of locks in this movie, so it must be a very realistic implant.

Whatever he has had done it looks much better and with Jack Black being the other male lead it only serves to make him look even more attractive :D
 
One of my fave movies of all time!!!
It is sooo sweet and lovely, and is extra specially amazing to watch it at christmas (with your frienRAB when you have just broken up from school :D if you go to school) but is fantastic to watch any time! (spesh at a girlie sleepover if your young and love sleepovers like me :p )
everyone should definately watch it!
It is long, but doesn't feel like it at all when i watch it!

Terrible film. Jude Law's "I'm drunk" acting was shocking and the whole thing was so contrived it was painful. One of the rost film's I've ever seen. That's just my opinion though. Millions of people love it. I' quite keen on the odd cheesy rom-com but this was terrible.
