This is a quote that describes history and what history was about. basically saying that history was about the big guys and the little guys. but the question is, why? give examples that back up this quote and show that it is true. why is this quote true? i have a little so far, but i would love love lovee your help. PLEASE HELP :)

An example, easy one!

The famous Cradle of Civilization - Mesopotamia!
Babylon!
Sumeria!
The Babylonia Empire!
The Babylonian King List
Sumerian King List of Rulers and Gods!
The Epic of Gilgamesh!

Once they ruled in greatness!
Oh mighty Babylon!
Once Babylon FEASTED upon the known world.

Today .... well, Iraq ain't that mighty any more.
Their great statues and treasures broken, many by their own people.
Her people actually live in conditions, physically, religiously, and educationally that would have shocked their progressive ancestors.
They crumble while civilizations far, far younger, one only a couple of hundred years old, now FEAST on them .... feasting on them like locusts, draining their very life blood from their earth.

And alas, one day WE too, shall be on the buffet.... as a main course.
(Hopefully we'll be steak and not chicken)
