What the History of the Saxons (that lived on Mainland Europe)
Why did they invade England, rather then attacking a neighboring country at their border.

We have come to use the name Saxons as the peoples who invaded Britain as a generic name for many different social groups from the North Germanic plains.
I dont think they invaded as much as it was more of a social migration based on the needs of expanding populations and indeed turmoil and unrest on mainland Europe.
