The history of and everything around WDMA

Just saying that some people  take the internet way too seriously. These guys just take their site's privacy and securacy a little more seriously than most.

What a cool word... is it an amalgamation of security and secrecy? I don't even know if you meant it, but it's now gonna be my word of the moment... :D

If this is OK to discuss, and this thread won't be closed, I will contribute with the information I know about it and those others site who probably are involved. So - is it ok?

I think it's interesting, and I want to dig deeper.
It's ok to discuss it, of course.
And I'm not expecting this thread to turn into an off topic feast.

Do I smell a hint of double standards, or the whole 'I've already got all the sites I need, so I'm above all this' mindset?
It's more like "I've been on all of these exclusive communities, and the vast majority suck ass compared to a conventional torrent site".

It's hard to sift myth from fact given the number of oRABhoot communities claiming to be WDMA reborn.

As I understand it:

-It was a forum based filesharing system for the goons at SA, created after the BT Barnyard forum there was shut down.
-At one point it had changed domains to hpj.cc
-Currently there are supposedly remnants of the community at already.be... I've yet to see any proof of that.
-The sysop (not exactly sysop... creator, whatever) was a VIP at the former FTWR, and *supposedly* WDMA members had a secret subforum there.
-None of this shit matters, as it's definitely dwindled to a shitty community with nothing a large tracker couldn't offer you.

- HPJ.cc is dead or it has moved to a new url.
- Already.be is still alive and there could possibly be invites floating around (i have heard)
- There are at least a handful of wdma sites that still exist, that predate torrent sites. The only thing glimpse most of us will ever get of them is of their login pages.
- Who's said their community has dwindled down? Unless any of us are members we would never know for sure. And we won't know because these sites do an extremely good job of keeping people quiet. Shit we've all seen reviews of ftwr, uk-t, *sc, heck even that candy tracker, but has there ever been even a screenshot floating around from one these wdma sites.
- It's very possible a person could survive without trackers and get all the files they would ever need just by being a part of these amazing communities. I know of one such place, and rumor is there could be another that ends with pile.org. Although I'm not a member, even I'm afraid to mention their URL or anything I've read about them.

If you hear a site is dead, doesn't exist, or is just a shitty place don't be so quick to believe it. It's a common misinformation tatic used by some overzealous members to keep the noobs from seeking out invites to their sites. And when any legit info does come out, like on wiki, they are quick to take it down and sometimes hack the shit out the idiot who put it up. They can also get people's personal information and cause real life drama for them. I've personally seen what one place does to anyone who leaks their links and it ain't always pretty.

They say that they share homemade porn @ alreadybe (ex horsepornjunction). That again is just a rumor.Wigornot is another goon site iirc.
Edit: Oh i almost forgot Typhoon, which me thinks doesnt exist as a site anymore, maybe as a ghost :O

It's more like "I've been on all of these exclusive communities, and the vast majority suck ass compared to a conventional torrent site".

One of the exclusive communities I mentioned does not suck ass. It has millions of threads and hundreds of thousands of files, more than most trackers combined. Just because a site is exclusive doesn't mean it has to suck. I will agree with you in many cases that it is true, but then why are some of the people who have posted in this thread still active members of those suckass exclusive communities?

Who's active?

Basically most of these places are the antithesis to what they were meant to be or at least that they should be where most of the activity is generated by a few people( even at ratioless ones) with seedboxes attempting to increase their "stature " by raping the bandwidth of every large file or else incessantly posting barely legible spam in the forums.
Then it's left up to anyone else that doesn't fit into this category to supposedly smile and say everything's wonderful.
Thanks but no thanks.
Do away with user classes and stats - even forum ones( only keep track to see who is constantly hitting and running) and then maybe find out who your "good" members truly are.
Also by happy consequence you also diminish the trade/monetary value of certain accounts.

Am I the only one who doesn't know what is WDMA ?!.

Nope. After reading some posts sounds like it's either another filesharing network, a very active forum or the fastest method used to transfer data between the computer (through the ATA controller) and an ATA device until UDMA... (Wikipedia).
