The Hills Have Eyes

Anyone seen this remake yet? I think it's just been released yesterday, I saw it today. Omg, it was sooo good.

Shocks, tension, gore and jumpy moments the whole way through. I must admit it was even better than I thought it was going to be, I'm not going to ruin the plot for anybody but I do have to say I was almost screaming at the screen when...

It looked like they were gonna kill the baby.

When the movie got going it really started with a bang, which lasted right up to the finale.

Opinions, anyone?

I went to see it last night and thought it was absolutely rubbish.

Yeah, it was gory but there was no real suspense or parts that made you jump out of your seat.

A waste of

I thot the film was so scary and so disturbin...neva seen a film like it...scared the s**t out of me...Does anyone know what place it got to in the american box office?I know its number 1 here

i saw this on saturday night and thought it was excellent. i watched the original last night on cable and didnt think much of it. The remake was good and probably the best horror film ive seen in a long time.

They also showed trailers for silent hill and an american hauting both of which looked good as well.

the coming weeks should be good.

Saw it tonight, was a bit scary in the beginning and then once you saw the "people" it was more or less turned into a gore fest. I found myself almost saying "Go on!!, "YEAH!!!" and "GET HIM!" on the most gory bits and didnt feel that scared at all. Perhaps I'm desensitised to horror now since I've so many horror films ;)

The blokes sitting two seats away from me and my mate were more scared than us, which was quite funny! :D :D

I watched it tonight and although I felt like I should have been shocked (as everyone else around me was) I didn't jump at a single part! And yes, some bits I thought were quite disgusting but for some reason it didn't hit me like it's (evidently) hit other people.. (maybe I should be worried)

I hated the fact that the main guy just
DOES NOT DIE!!
.. Fair do's if
the writer didn't want the character dead
but after everything he went through..
i don't understand how he survived.. and not only survived, but managed to kill most of the 'mutants' whilst he was at it

For a while there I thought I was watching the Terminator or something!!

I probably shouldn't admitt this but I actually found some of the gorey bits laughable! (i got called a 'sick b!tch' for this :o )

I went to see this on Saturday and really enjoyed as it is one of the best of the recent horror films. I loved the way they slowly build up the tension after a manic 5 minutes before the opening credits!
It is very graphic and gory but a v good film. I was disappointed by the ending though but then again it did leave it open for a sequel!

Take care you don't go in the Odeon Mezzanine. It's dreadful; scruffy, tiny screens and you can hear lots of noise outside in the corridor. The loos were awful too.

No, I think you're right about that, I think the one who gets raped is the younger sister on the bed, I have to say when that whole thing kicks off it's awful. When the guys on top of her and the family run in to get the fire extinguisher and don't even see it. So freaky and awful

We went to see this on the night it opened and i absolutely loved it. Much more than i was expecting to.

I enjoyed the original HHE, but it was never one of my favourites films. The only thing i was disappointed in with this one, was that the mutants werent just as scary or convincing as in the original film, although i still wouldnt want to bump into them up a dark alley! It was gory, it made me jump, one scene in particular really made me cringe (you'll know which scene im talking about, if you've seen it) and i can totally understand why it has an 18 rating. This film is definately not for the faint~hearted. It pushed all the right buttons for me, and i'll definately be adding it to my collection when it comes out on dvd :D

I thought the ending was really clever actually, as you say it does leave it open for a sequel, but in a smart way if you know what I mean.

Didn't you think it was unexpected and shocking that as soon as they went to bed, everything just kicked off into high gear and continued with shock after shock for about 10 minutes, thought I wasn't gonna be able to take much more!
