The Hangover on DVD & Blu-Ray

The DVD is rated 15 but the Blu-Ray is rated 18 and contains the uncut version of the film. Why is there no uncut DVD release? Not everyone has / wants a Blu-Ray player you know!

Is the uncut version any different from the theatrical release? The BBFC description of the 18-rated version only differs from the 15 version in that it describes the bit during the end credits where the 15 version is pixellated but the 18 isn't. Are there any other differences?

I don't know, but the cover for the BluRay states it is the "extended cut" so is one unblurred picture really what people are going to be paying more to see? Hardly extended in the sense, so there must be extra footage somewhere I would have imagined.

At least the standard DVD release has the 9 minute gag reel as well, probably the best special feature on any DVD, apart from the deleted scenes of course!

The Blu Ray exclusive extended cut runs about 10 minutes longer than the theatrical cut. I dont know what has been added yet though as i'm getting it for xmas.

I still think that if it was substantially different the BBFC would itemise the things that are not acceptable for a 15 rating. It could be that the film has some scenes which weren't in the theatrical release, but only the unpixellated bit is 18-worthy.

That's what it is i think. If they pixellated the nudity on the credits pictures then the Blu Ray would have only been a 15 certificate too. The additional scenes, whatever they may be, must fall within the guidelines of the 15 rating otherwise the BBFC would have detailed any additional scenes that caused the rating to be raised.

downloaded the HD version on my xbox 360 last night. Gonna watch it after the Marseille vs Real Madrid game tonight. I have heard this film is bare jokes!
