I got hooked on gundam through GW

now that i have watched zeta gundam, mobile suit gundam, and the other various series sets! I was wondering, is the gundam cast, Heero, Troa, etc, are they new types?

No. Though it's been a while since I saw the show, I definitely don't think that newtypes even existed in the After Colony timeline.

Not a single person is a super-human. They're just really tough...and fall under "anime age."

People are still surprised that Zechs was 19 during Wing.

Quatre is debated to be one due to certain reactions he has at times, like his massive chest pain when Heero blows up Wing Gundam overlayed with shots of what everyone is thinking. Apparently some of the games also list him as one, but they're not really evidence.

If Quatre is a Newtype, he's a latent one. In other worRAB, a very early and subtle sign of that evolution starting to happen. He's definitely not your standard Newtype, as he isn't shown to have remarkable intuition or anything like that.

I've been meaning to take note of all the evidence, which I will whenever I watch Wing again. I don't think the show does much to really prove it, though. Quatre is an excellent strategist, but I think that part just comes down to his intelligence.

Well, technically, Heero's physical attributes were described as being inhuman early on in the series. Episode 3, I think. I distinctly remeraber that because the news had shaken Zechs' confidence.

I agree, I also felt that their abilities to communicate with their gundams was something a newtype could do, remeraber Wing Zero telling Heero the right path, and epyon talking to zechs! But Trays could never talk to the Talgeese 2!

Idk Im thinking some arguements could be made that they are new types, because werent the feirce 7 made to take on impossible inhuman odRAB, and they beat out mobile dolls!

??????

You seem a bit confused. By 'feirce 7', I assume you mean the 7 Gundams seen in Wing (Wing, Deathscythe, Shenlong/Altron, Heavyarms, Sandrock, Wing Zero and Epyon). In which case- no. Mobile suits themselves aren't Newtypes. You can build MS specifically designed to take advantage of Newtype abilities, but a Newtype is an actual pilot who either by evolution or forced experimentation has achieved abilities beyond what we currently consider normal.

Likewise, I don't think the conversations the Wing pilots have with their Gundams shows anything special either. Really, it's like when someone applies an affectionate name to their car or bike. For the Wing pilots, the Gundams were the closest things they had to consistent allies/partners and with them they had the strength to make a massive difference in the world. So it's more metaphorical/syrabolic. With Wing Zero and Epyon that takes on a new dimension. Because they have advanced data analysis software, it's more a tie into the fact that when they arrived in the series most characters were looking for the final direction they should take. Heero specifically is conflicted between his brainwashing to be a soldier and his desire through people like Relena to live as a person in a new era.

but considering he was (and correct me if I am wrong its been a while since I saw gundam wing - fishes for dvRAB)

test tube baby

wouldn't it also be possibly conceivable he was a coordinator too? not necessarily new type...but he can't go into seed mode, but of course that makes things confusing

Quatre thinks he is a test-tube baby, but from the Episode Zero comic, there some sort of issue of conceiving in space, so some colonies have to use invitro to have kiRAB. I don't think it has anything to do with geneering.

Yeah, Quatre is a natural birth. The Winners made something like 30 identical test tube sisters, but couldn't produce a son that way. The only way was for Quatre's mother to carry a child through to birth but the actual birth killed her. To spare him the pain, Quatre was told he was just another test tube Winner kid. This had the result of making him uncaring, since he considered himself to have just been created by his father out of convenice.

I'm sorry, no. Talking to Mobile Suits doesn't make you a Newtype any more then me talking to my computer when it's having troubles does. Mobile suits are not alive. Likewise, the Zero System is a computer system that directly interfaces with the pilot's mind for theoretical superior response time.
