Rush might want to update that...even at the low estimate of 15,000 barrels per day you're talking 32 million gallons.
Though that estimate is probably wrong because the leak looks worse and they're collecting 15,000 barrels/day as it continues to leak.
The rate started at 5,000 went to 10,000, then 15,000....all of those seem wrong now. Conservative estimates keep going up last I saw was ~25,000 barrels/day....but that's even hard to believe with how much it keeps doubling and tripling the original estimates as well as other potential leak points.
The high end estimate is up to 250,000 barrels per day....which would be the largest bar on the graph to if you calculated it to date.
Let's say a realistic amount is somewhere between 25,000 and 50,000 barrels per day. Through the 50 days we've seen so far...that would be between 52.5 and 105 million gallons...that would mean it's inching closer to the largest rig spill ever.
